Holly Lyon, LD17’s New Candidate for AZ House

LD17 Democrats are very excited to add a new candidate to run for the district’s second House seat, Holly Lyon!

Holly taught 7th grade math in Boise, Idaho before joining the U.S. Air Force. During 26 years as a communications and computer officer, Colonel, ret., Hollace Lyon commanded twice, served at the NATO Headquarters in Belgium, and taught war planning at Armed Forces Staff College to multi-national military leaders. She retired from the Pentagon and subsequently worked for two large companies in the D.C. area. For one, she spent five months researching and formulating a proposal to enhance border security operations. Holly moved to Southern Arizona in 2008 to take care of her aging mother.
