Did You Know?
Did you know you can give money to public schools, and it won’t cost you a dime? The Arizona Public School Tax Credit allows you to make a charitable contribution to public schools and get it right back in the form of a tax credit. This is not a tax deduction where you get some of it back. It’s a dollar-for-dollar tax credit of up to $200 for an individual or $400 for a couple filing jointly. It is available to any Arizona resident who pays Arizona income tax. All you do is go online to the school district (s) you wish to support, fill out the information required, and make your donation. When you file your taxes, you use Arizona form 322 to receive the tax credit.
You can donate to one or more schools or school districts. All donations are for extra-curricular activities such as field trips, athletics, art programs, band, after school tutoring, intramural activities, and more. You may designate the category you are interested in supporting or give to the “greatest need.”
Be a public-school hero and take advantage of this great program. Any amount helps and is so appreciated, whether it’s less than the available credit - or more, of course.
