New Year’s Message from Chair Nancy Burton

Happy New Year!

I want to thank all of you for your continued support of the work we are doing in LD17. Your efforts in 2025 made a difference. We welcomed 65 new Precinct Committee members, held 24 public meetings—large and small, helped raise donations for local charities and those in need, and much more. All those actions laid a solid foundation in our goal to flip the Arizona Legislature this year.

Achieving that goal will certainly be a challenge. However, I’m convinced that with your support--and with great candidates--we will succeed. And that success will ensure that our representatives address key issues like the cost of living, adequate funding for our public schools, and address health care solutions, our water crisis, and civil rights.

As a grass-roots organization reliant on volunteers, we ask for your continued support through donations and volunteering. Your support will be critical in helping us reach over 100,000 LD17 voters via print publications, mail, canvassing, phone-banking, digital and social media, and other outreach activities devoted to electing our Democratic slate. There is a lot at stake: control of Congress, control of the Arizona Executive Branch, control of the Arizona State Legislature, control of the Arizona Corporation Commission, and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
