Keeping our feet on the gas pedal!
As of today—September 30--there are only 34 days until the November 3 election. Most polls are predicting a good result for Democrats, but most polls are sampling voters nationwide. Even with two successive favorable polls in CD6, the Cook Political Report still rates Arizona’s 6th Congressional District a tossup. A recent in-state poll[1] showed that most statewide candidates are showing healthy leads over their Republican opponents, except for Teresa Ruiz, our candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction—she leads by only 1 point, well within the margin of error. Her election is critical to saving public education in this state.
Polling in Arizona’s legislative districts is VERY scarce; most polling is private surveys conducted on behalf of campaigns, and is selectively released, if at all. We REALLY don’t know what to expect in this legislative election in our swing district.
We need to keep our feet on the gas pedal and make sure we reach every targeted voter with our candidate information. With your support, we’re mailing 55,000 voter guides to 87,000 Dems and independents and dropping another 30,000 at the doors we’re canvassing in October. We’re texting, we’re calling, we’ve sent postcards and we’re dropping lit all over LD17. But unless people actually vote, it’s all wasted effort.
Which is why I’m asking for your help!
Please check your voter registration, by going to https://www.recorder.pima.gov/Voter_dashboard_login in Pima County, or my.Arizona.vote for other counties.
Review your mail ballot status—are you signed up to receive a mail ballot? If not, sign up for one, or research when and where to vote in person.
Have you signed up for ballot notification alerts, so you know exactly where your ballot is in the process?
When you get your ballot, vote early. If it is convenient, drop off your ballot at an early voting site. Democrats win if the early voting turnout is high!
Vote the whole ballot! Democrats are notorious for failing to vote in down-ballot elections. Considering Teresa Ruiz’ narrow polling margin, your vote could put her over the top!
Vote NO on all the statewide propositions. Those numbered from the 100’s through the 300’s have all been placed on the ballot by the Republican majority over the objections of our Democratic legislators. They are ALL bad for Arizona.
And vote for two Democrats in races where that is possible: Vote for both Jonathan Hill and Clara Pratte for Arizona Corporation Commission AND both Holly Lyon and Kevin Volk for the Arizona House. And remember to vote for Edgar Soto for the LD17 Senate seat.

Please vote! And share this information with your family, friends, and neighbors. Even a few votes can make a dramatic difference.
