Have You Received Your Ballot?
Important Information About the Election
The primary election is upon us! All Pima County voters who are on the Early Voter list should have received their ballots by now. Below is a list of dates and convenient links if you need more information.
IMPORTANT - VOTE THE ENTIRE BALLOT!
Many races have more than one candidate that you can vote for, and each race will indicate how many candidates you can select. For instance, you should vote for both LD17 candidates for the Arizona House, Kevin Volk and Holly Lyon. We understand there is some confusion about this situation.
Arizona primary election dates
Wednesday, June 24: Early ballots were mailed and early voting locations/drop boxes were opened (see below)
Friday, July 10: Last day to request an early ballot
Tuesday, July 14: Last day to mail your early ballot (to ensure it arrives in time)
Friday July, 17: Last day of in-person early voting
Tuesday, July 21: Election Day, voting at any Pima County vote center (see below)
How to verify your ballot was received
We recommend that you verify that your mailed ballot was received by the Recorder's Office. You can find out when your mailed ballot was received and counted, and/or sign up to automatically receive that info via text or email, at this website: https://www.recorder.pima.gov/BallotInfo
How to get a replacement early ballot
If you are a registered Democrat and are on the early voting list you should have received your early ballot by now. If you have not yet received your early ballot, or if you did receive a ballot but need a replacement for any reason, here is how to get a replacement ballot:
Call the Recorder’s Office at 520-724-4330; or
Before election day, go to any early voting location (see below); or
On election day, you can also vote at any Pima County vote center.
Early voting locations
At early voting locations you can vote early in person or drop off your early ballot. Early voting locations and drop boxes opened Wednesday, June 24, and are available through Friday, July 17.
Vote on election day (Tuesday, July 21) at any vote center
You are not restricted to voting at the polling place for your precinct on election day. Pima County now has 120 vote centers, so voters can vote at any Pima County vote center on election day. You can also drop off your early ballot at any vote center — including, this year, a new ID-verified drop-off option that lets you show ID instead of waiting for signature verification.

If you are a registered Independent
Registered independent voters on the Active Early Voter List (AEVL) should have received a postcard asking them to choose which party ballot they wish to receive. Those not on the AEVL can contact the Pima County Recorder's office to request a Democratic or Republican ballot by mail. Independent voters can also vote in person at early voting centers or on Election Day by simply requesting the party ballot of their choice. Note: the Green and Libertarian party primaries are closed to registered members only.
