Arizona AG Mayes Leading the Fight for Democracy
While a Republican-controlled Congress stands by and watches the attacks on democracy, many Democratic state attorneys general are fighting back. Among those leading the charge is Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, who has joined more than a dozen lawsuits to challenge, block and push back against what she says are the unconstitutional actions of the Trump administration.
In her role, AG Mayes has led or supported 18 lawsuits against the Trump Administration since January. They include:

Mayes has taken a lead in the fight for democracy. As the lawsuits work their way through the legal process, they are already seeing success. Each has either been granted preliminary or permanent injunctions, temporary restraining orders, or nationwide preliminary injunctions.
The results send a strong message: That through determination and collaboration we can fight tyranny and stand up for liberty, civil rights, and fairness.
The fight is far from over. The Trump Administration is appealing these decisions, and many will surely be decided by the Supreme Court. In the meantime, we can be part of this process by supporting Attorney General Mayes, Governor Hobbs, and the many others involved in this important fight.
