LD17 Democrats General Meeting Notice February 18, 2026

Please join us for our General Meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026 at 6:30 pm.
Our February meeting has lots of interesting items for all of our attendees. RTA Next is the topic of the meeting and we will have a variety of speakers, both pro and con, to discuss the initiative and give perspective on the issue. The two propositions that would enact RTA Next are on the ballot at the election in March, and there have been loads of letters to the editor and opinion pieces published in the last month or so on both sides of the issue. This should be a very interesting discussion.
For that, we're giving you some homework: here is a link to a document that describes the RTA Next projects and the budgets associated with them. Please review before the meeting. There will be a quiz! 😉
In addition, all three of our LD17 candidates will address the group, including our newest, Holly Lyon from Saddlebrooke, who is running for the second Arizona House seat. And in a sneak peek, AG Mayes will be speaking at our March meeting!
