Lightning Round - Five Questions for Holly Lyon

We'd like LD17 to get know our candidates and leaders better, on a more personal level. We start off with Holly Lyon, one of LD17's two candidates for Arizona House of Representatives.

M & M: Tell us about your first job.

Holly: I was an electrician in a mobile home factory in Idaho.

M & M: So now you’re running for a very different job – Representative in the Arizona State Legislature. If you get that job, what’s going to make you successful there?

Holly: My smile will get their attention. My wisdom will make them want to work with me…I hope.🤞🏻

M & M: What has surprised you most during this campaign?

Holly: How many wonderful volunteers, from all over the country and Tucson are anxious to do so many things to help, from canvassing, house parties, fundraising, events, tabling, post carding, etc., people are popping up all the time, enthusiastic to make a difference.

M & M: What is your favorite food and where do you get it?

Holly: Almost any “comfort food,” from Saguaro Corners to La Hacienda’s delicious Mexican dishes, and peppermint (only two months of the year) gelato at Frost.

M & M: What makes you laugh?

Holly: Watching my cat watch birds or squirrels that are inches away through nylon netting.
